Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have climbed into the top four at the moment but are dependent on results elsewhere. Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals (DC) have their fate in their hands as a win takes them back into the playoff spots.

Given that IPL 2022 is a ten-team event, a minimum of 16 points for some teams likely will be required to qualify for the playoffs. Gujarat Titans have thus far collected 20 points and Lucknow Super Giants have collected 18, and are through to the last four. Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, have joined them with 18 points.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) and  Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are the latest teams to be eliminated from the competition. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are also out of the playoffs race.
