BCCI said in a press release issued here that BCCI held supportive talks with Rahul Dravid after his contract expired after the recently concluded second World Cup 2023 and decided to extend the contract further with everyone’s peace.
It is not clear how long this contract has been extended but it is believed that it will last at least till the June 2024 T20 World Cup. The Indian cricketer Control Board recognizes the role of Rahul Dravid, and how he has taken the Indian team forward and celebrates his extraordinary talent.
The board also celebrates VVS Laxman’s role as head coach of MCA and stand-in head coach of Team India, just like Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman have taken the Indian cricket team forward with their great on-field partnership.
According to the information received, BCCI wants continuity in the existing team structure, which may be affected by the arrival of the new coaching staff. This coaching staff includes batting coach Vikram Rathore, bowling coach Paras Mhambrey, and fielding Coach T Dilip.
